The recent announcement by Premier Dexter that the Province of Nova Scotia will support the re-establishment of a cruise-ferry service between Nova Scotia and the USA is great news. The appointment of the expert panel and their findings that a ferry service can be sustainable set the stage for the Premier’s announcement.
This is the important first step we were looking for. While much remains to be done it is a significant change that we are now working to find a solution rather than resolving a problem. We will maintain a keen interest as things progress and do our utmost to support the province in this effort.
On behalf of the Nova Scotia International Ferry Partnership we wish to say thank you to all of you who have provided Testimonials, submitted Business Impact Information or supported our efforts in other ways. Your information and support gave credence to our campaign and confidence that we were on the right track.
We have not yet reached our goal. We encourage all of you that have a vested interest in this issue to stay involved and to continue to make the case for a new cruise-ferry service until the first ship sails into Yarmouth Harbour.
